Bread with a mission to give back.

What started as a hobby quickly became something more. A simple way to give back to my community, one loaf at a time.

Giving Sourdough is a small bake-to-give project based in Dallas, TX. Each loaf is naturally fermented using organic ingredients and traditional sourdough techniques, with 50% of proceeds donated to local nonprofits and grassroots organizations making real impact.

In 2025 alone, Giving Sourdough was able to donate over $5,000 to local causes, supporting organizations working to strengthen food systems and improve access to nutritious food in the community.

Along the way, the project has grown beyond just baking. I’ve had the opportunity to partner with organizations like ALHI on community events and teach my first sourdough class, sharing the craft with others who want to learn the magic of wild fermentation.Whether someone buys a loaf for their own table or gifts one to a friend, they are helping support something bigger than bread. Giving Sourdough is about connection, generosity, and community. A reminder that even small acts, like baking a loaf, can create meaningful impact.
